Young Greens Northern Ireland launched our first Youth Manifesto on Saturday 13th February.
The Young Greens are calling on the Assembly to legislate for equal marriage, introduction of a living wage for all and votes at 16.
Aidan Jones, Chair of Young Greens Northern Ireland said,
“I am really excited to release our first Young Greens manifesto today.
“We want to reach out to young people, to call for change on issues that affect us most.
“From job creation and implementation of the living wage to the need for equality or votes at 16, we have found that young people are sick of politics that supports sectarianism and inequality.
“This Young Greens manifesto showcases the Green policies that will really help young people. It highlights that Stormont doesn’t need to waste the opportunities it has to create a better Northern Ireland.”
Green Party leader Steven Agnew MLA said,
“There is a growing political awareness amongst our young people and it is great that the Young Greens are working at a grassroots level to articulate the changes that need to be made for a fairer Northern Ireland.
“I commend the Young Greens for producing their manifesto and as an MLA I will be championing their calls.”
